In Florida, ORT America is a staple in many communities – Jacksonville, Orlando, the west coast of Florida (from Tampa to Naples), and the tri-county area of South Florida (Palm Beach, Broward and Miami/Dade counties). The Florida Region’s many chapters are excited about their work of building awareness and raising funds in the community to support the 300,000 students studying at ORT schools around the world.
As a prelude to ORT America’s Greater Miami Region 2010 Jurisprudence Awards ceremony and reception, October 21 at Jungle Island in Miami, the Region held a breakfast at The Bankers Club of Miami to introduce its honorees.
From (l to r) are, The Honorable A. Jay Cristol, Chief Judge Emeritus, United States Bankruptcy Court; The Honorable Robin S. Rosenbaum, United States Magistrate Judge; and The Honorable Alan S. Gold, United States District Judge, who are being recognized for their leadership of the judiciary and legal community, as well as for their professional excellence and personal integrity. All have made a positive difference in South Florida.
