| "The highest degree of charity—above which there is no higher—is he who strengthens the hand of his fellow Jew through helping him obtain work so that he may be independent and not be reliant upon others." — Maimonides |
For nearly 80 years, ORT America has counted on the generosity and dedication of its supporters to be able to fulfill its commitments to ORT's global programs. It is our supporters who provided the funding needed to establish ORT in 1880, who helped ORT survive the dark years of Stalinist Russia and the Holocaust, who enable ORT to carry out its work today—and who will ensure that ORT is able to continue its vital work in the days and years to come. It is our donors who have helped ORT build communities as well build up the next generation—and who will continue to do so.

Awards
ORT America recognizes the energy and commitment of its contributors who voluntarily provide countless hours of their time spreading the word about ORT America and the important work ORT does all around the globe. To recognize the volunteer efforts of our supporters and of individuals who improve the world through their good deeds, ORT America has established four recognition awards.
