Many of the projects in Africa are operated by ORT International Cooperation in collaboration with the United Nations, the US Agency for International Development, Swiss Aid, the World Bank and other entities.
Chad ORT implemented a multi-year program to provide technical assistance and training to improve agricultural techniques and animal breeding for a group of Chadian farmers in the cantons of Kome, Miandoum and Bero, included in the ESSO Pipeline Exploration and Production plan. Read more

Agricultural Development Project: An ORT administration and finance specialist has been assigned to an African Development Bank funded agricultural project at Ansongo, in north-eastern Mali, until the end of 2005. The specialist is managing the administration and financial aspects of the project. - Mauritania
A project to establish a maintenance system for the Ministry of Education - Geneva was implemented in partnership with AFACOR, Mauritanian Consultancy Office under the supervision of the Department of Administrative Affairs and Material of the MEN (Ministry for National Education). - Namibia
The HIV/AIDS ORPHANS project focuses on vocational training for orphaned children and is linked with on-the-job skills training via partnership with small- and medium-sized enterprises in a number of cities and towns - Senegal
The Rural Support Project, supported by Swiss Aid, is responsible for training producers and grassroots workers, creating rural training and information networks and organizing higher training for trainers and managers in the field of agricultural and rural development. Support is also given to forming a network of training institutions to produce multi-skilled technicians.
