ORT empowers young people to tap into their potential

Maria Eliza, who is passionate about art, is a sixth grader at Tekhiya ORT School in Moscow.  “Before sending me to Tekhiya ORT School, my parents visited many schools, but we felt at home here.  We have intelligent teachers, good security, beautiful walls and state-of-the-art technology,” she reports.

Last year Maria Eliza participated in the Assembly Art exhibition at the Russian Academy of Arts, taking third place in the section for teens.  Being an ORT student helps her excel in art.  “Last year my art exhibition was organized at school, and I appreciate the help of my school in developing my artistic ability.”

Irina, a graduate of the same ORT school, took a video technology class in ninth grade. She went on to study at Moscow State Textile University to become a fabric designer.  Then Irina switched gears, becoming an animation student at Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Israel, aided by the knowledge of Hebrew she gained at the ORT school.

After graduating, Irina was employed by the Russian cartoon studio Soyuzmultfilm.  She credits her success to ORT. “I am very grateful to ORT for the most important impact toward my career specialization.”
